Portland Oregon Weather  (The City of Roses ) is moderate with temperatures usually ranging from mid forty’s in the winter with the possibility of infrequently dipping to freezing to between mid seventies / lower eighties in the summer months. 

On an average, rain precipitation is about 36 inches per year over a span of 150  days.  The annual rainfall is less than Atlanta , Houston , Indianapolis or Seattle . 

The Custom Weather Service rates Portland Oregon weather as being the best summer climate  in the United States .  The lush green lawns and landscapes are decked with a bevy of blossoms extending far beyond the magnificent rose.

Portlanders love the outdoors.  The surrounding environs are so beautiful during the autumn months, also.  The trees start to sport tinges of yellow on their leaves and soon turn to vibrant  red and orange.  Portlanders choose to talk about partly sunny rather than partly cloudy and the welcomed scattered showers leave the air sweet, cool and refreshing.

Autumn is a perfect time to take day trips to explore the Columbia Gorge and hiking trails during the pleasant fall weather.  For the adventurous spirit the Willamette Valley also opens up numerous possibilities for exploring the great outdoors  - falls, gardens and vineyards.   But do take along an umbrella, however, it most likely will not rain.
